The Aspire 3811T features an eco-friendly panel, mainboard and battery pack with reduced PVC, BFR and mercury.
Acer works closely with suppliers and major component manufacturers to systematically implement eco-friendly production and parts. The plan for reducing hazardous substances includes:
• Full compliance with RoHS and WEEE directives
• Keeping a detailed inventory of PVC and BFR used by system and key component suppliers, and evaluating alternative materials and technologies
• Establishment of a hazardous substance database
• Regular disclosures of hazardous substance reduction plan progress
• Conducting pilot projects for hazardous-substance-free products
